I have had 2 cars with issues in the past 2 months. Sean is a great communicator. He gets the job done and he works with his customers! I more than highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to get work done to their car. He also usually tries to get it done within the day if its possible with the fix you are looking at.

While making phone calls, to several different shops, asking questions about Freon and AC related questions, I called S&J and spoke with Shawn. He told me every step, and in what order, he would make repairs to my car's AC. The following day, with my husband in tow, we drove to the shop, spoke with Shawn, in person, and then waited in their waiting area, while he did what was necessary to get it all back together, and get us on our way. USUALLY, because my husband is ALWAYS with me, mechanics or service people of any kind, tend to talk to my husband, rather than me, I guess because he's THE MAN. He is ALSO a man in cognitive decline (early onset Alzheimer's) and though he can be pleasant, making decisions and understanding technical issues, even when they are explained well, is simply no longer a skill he possesses. Shawn managed to include my husband in the conversation, but, made sure to share the details of what was being done AND something that needs to be corrected, in the future, with me. I doubt Shawn had ANY idea what our dynamic was. I just don't go many places, anymore, that folks are personable AND professional. S&J is BOTH, and I will be back!

4 days ago my car started breaking down with my son in the car, it literally broke down in his shops drive way. As a single mom I was bawling scared it was my transmission. The owner walked out, glock on his hip, told me to quit crying and immediately started working on my car for an hour. I needed new coil packs, spark plugs, there was oil in places it shouldn't be and he got my car to where I could atleast drive it until I had the money to fix it. (Valve cover leak) He gave me an honest quote and I came back 4 days later and he had my car done in 4 hrs. If anything he under charged me. My car hasn't driven this smooth since I've owned it and I will never go anywhere else. He gained a customer for life that day. He helped a single mom when he didn't have to. If you want an HONEST hard working mechanic, this is your guy. The manager (orange shop cat) was also lovely. Again, this place will forever get my business.

We took my 2016 Chevy Equinox in Friday just afternoon. He ran diagnostics called me with the repair quote and I was able to pick it up right after they opened the next morning! They were courteous, quick and quality. I highly recommend. My nephew has been going here for years and recommended them to me.

Shawn, the owner, is very pleasant to work with. His crew is efficient, the business is very forward and honest with their quotes and timelines. I’ve NEVER had an issue with them, and they’re a family business! My husband has also had his truck worked on by these guys. I most certainly recommend them over any automotive crew in and around Tyler, TX!!! PS. Get a quote, go buy the parts yourself, and they’ll only charge labor!!!
